WIND Launches Its First Local Chapter in Tampa
The Windstorm Insurance Network is launching its new local chapter initiative with the inaugural WIND Chapter meeting in Tampa, FL. This event will bring together professionals from across the Tampa Bay insurance space for two hours of continuing education, followed by a networking happy hour designed to foster meaningful cross-industry connections. Today’s Florida Property Insurance Claim: Process, Pressures, & Professional Responsibility
This session will provide a comprehensive, non-advocacy examination of how modern property insurance claims are handled in Florida’s evolving regulatory and market environment. Our panelists include former presidents of the Windstorm Insurance Network, offering experienced perspectives from across the industry. Participants will examine post-2022 and 2023 legislative reforms, market shifts, and how those changes affect claim investigations, documentation standards, dispute resolution practices, and emerging technologies. The course also addresses professionalism, communication breakdowns, and ethical accountability across roles, equipping attendees with practical insights to strengthen claim handling and professional credibility.
Proactive Crisis Communications & Planning
Crisis Communications equips professionals across insurance, advocacy, construction, and risk management with practical strategies for communicating effectively before and during critical events. As regulatory expectations around transparency and timely notification continue to rise, the ability to plan and execute clear communication has become a core risk-management function.
This course focuses on proactive planning—covering communication principles, multi-channel coordination, system redundancy, and alignment with emergency resources and response partners. Attendees will gain actionable tools to strengthen trust, reduce exposure, and maintain professional standards across complex, high-stakes environments.
